Book NowExpression lines develop as facial muscles repeatedly contract during frowning, smiling, squinting and raising the eyebrows. A consultation allows the pattern of movement, facial balance, brow and eyelid position, existing asymmetry, skin quality and your goals to be assessed before appropriate options are discussed. Treatment is never based on a fixed number of areas alone; the aim is a proportionate plan that respects your natural expression.

The assessment decides the plan, not the other way round.
Your consultation includes a medical history, medication and allergy review, assessment at rest and during facial movement, baseline photography where appropriate, discussion of alternatives and a realistic plan. Where a prescription-only treatment is clinically appropriate, it can only proceed after a prescribing assessment and informed consent, never on the same footing as booking a cosmetic service.
Areas commonly discussed include forehead and frown-line concerns, lines around the eyes from smiling or squinting, bunny lines at the sides of the nose, selected upper-lip movement lines, chin dimpling or downward pull at the corners of the mouth, and selected lower-face or neck muscle activity. Facial balance is also considered where muscle activity contributes to asymmetry.
The objective is usually softening rather than removing every line. Dynamic lines may become less prominent while natural movement is preserved where possible. Deep lines that remain at rest may reflect skin thinning or volume loss instead, and can need a separate skin or filler strategy.
Treatment may be deferred during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection at a proposed treatment site, with certain neuromuscular disorders, significant swallowing or breathing problems, previous serious reactions, or where a safe prescribing assessment cannot be completed. Existing eyelid or brow heaviness and facial nerve weakness require particular care.
