Book NowSkin boosters are a broad group of injectable products used to improve hydration, superficial texture and fine lines. Many contain non-cross-linked or lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid, while some formulations include additional ingredients such as amino acids or antioxidants. They differ from dermal fillers because the aim is skin quality rather than structural contour.

The product choice is the treatment decision.
The exact product is chosen after assessing the treatment area, skin thickness, sensitivity and desired outcome. Small quantities are placed within the skin using a series of injections or another manufacturer-approved technique. Temporary papules or small bumps are expected with many products.
Common reasons to consider them include dry or dehydrated skin, dullness and reduced skin reflectivity, fine superficial lines, mild crepiness and general skin-quality maintenance.
Skin may appear more hydrated and smoother, with gradual improvement in fine texture. Skin boosters do not provide the lift, projection or volume of dermal filler, and they are not a resurfacing treatment for deep acne scarring.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection, inflammatory skin disease, allergy to ingredients, significant uncontrolled illness or a previous serious injectable reaction are reasons to defer. Active acne or significant scarring may need a different plan.
