It may then be used as part of a skin rejuvenation procedure, either injected according to the treatment plan or used alongside an appropriate microneedling protocol. Because it is autologous there is no synthetic filler material, but it remains a medical procedure with variable results.

Your own blood, still a medical procedure.
A blood sample is taken using standard phlebotomy and identification procedures, then processed using a validated PRP system. The prepared plasma is used according to the chosen treatment method. The procedure, blood-processing settings and treatment areas are documented for traceability.
It is considered for fine lines and general skin-quality concerns, selected superficial acne scarring, texture and dullness, and for people who prefer an autologous option.
Results are gradual and variable. Some people report improvement in texture and general skin quality, but PRP is not a guaranteed facelift, permanent regeneration or a replacement for surgery, filler or resurfacing where those are more appropriate.
Active infection, sepsis, significant anaemia, major thrombocytopenia or platelet dysfunction, active malignancy in the treatment area, severe unstable systemic illness, uncontrolled bleeding disorder, or inability to provide a suitable blood sample may make PRP inappropriate. Anticoagulant treatment requires individual assessment.
