A Linea hair consultation considers the onset and pattern of thinning, family history, shedding, scalp symptoms, medicines, diet, illness and previous treatment. Examination looks for miniaturisation, inflammation, scarring and patterns that may need medical or dermatology assessment.

The value is in choosing the right pathway.
The consultation includes history, scalp examination and standardised photographs. Blood tests such as full blood count, ferritin and thyroid function may be considered where clinically indicated. Sudden, patchy, inflammatory or scarring hair loss may require investigation or referral rather than cosmetic treatment.
It is appropriate for male and female pattern hair loss, gradual non-scarring thinning, increased shedding where the cause needs clarification, scalp and hair-treatment planning, and deciding whether PRP, topical regenerative treatment, prescription support or referral is the right next step.
The main benefit of assessment is choosing the right pathway. No regenerative procedure can reliably recreate follicles that have been permanently destroyed by scarring or advanced loss.
Treatment may be deferred where the diagnosis is unclear, scalp disease is active, or a medical cause needs investigation first. A review plan is agreed based on the likely diagnosis and any investigations or treatments selected.
